I’m Justin Adelmann, a creative explorer from Minnesota with a wide range of passions and curiosities. I earned my B.A. in Theatre Arts from Bethel University in 2005 and a B.S. in Communication Arts and Literature in 2011. I also served in the Minnesota National Guard from 2006 to 2012, including a deployment to Iraq from 2008 to 2009. While my professional path has taken me into truck driving, my heart has always been drawn to the world of creativity and discovery.

A Life of Creativity

I’ve always viewed the world through a creative lens. Whether it’s blocking scenes for a stage production, capturing the perfect photograph, or admiring other forms of visual art, I see life in images. This sense of creativity informs everything I do, from my storytelling to the way I approach new projects. My current work focuses on science fiction, with themes of adventure, stepping outside the comfort zone, and exploring the vast world around us. Writing, for me, is about discovery—both of the world and of myself.

The Joy of Learning

I’ve always had a thirst for knowledge. I love digging into source material, learning how things work, and understanding the world around me on my own terms. Whether I’m researching for a writing project or figuring out how to tackle a new hobby, the pursuit of knowledge is constant. I don’t like relying on other people’s interpretations; I want to get to the facts and uncover the truth myself. It’s this curiosity that drives my creative work and keeps me constantly exploring new ideas.

Hobbies and Interests

In addition to my creative projects, I have a wide range of hobbies that keep life interesting. I’m an avid reader, with tastes spanning science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and thrillers. When I’m not reading or writing, you might find me playing board games with friends or enjoying a good audiobook.

Photography is another passion of mine—it allows me to capture moments and see the world in a different way. I also love spending time with my wife. We often take day trips together, exploring new parks, bookstores, small diners, and coffee shops. Every trip is a chance for a new experience, and we never stop seeking out hidden gems or new places to discover.

Looking Forward

Though my journey has been filled with unfinished projects and new ideas, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m always in the pursuit of the next creative spark or the next interesting discovery. I may not always finish what I start, but that’s part of the adventure. My shelves may be filled with half-completed ideas, but each one represents a step in my creative journey.
